We love and miss you. We know you’re wondering what’s coming for Season 11. We’ve been wondering too! It’s definitely been a challenge with changing conditions coming on what feels like a weekly and sometimes daily basis.
The directors have been talking through options since March and met virtually this last week for a major planning session.
We hope our plans for the fall will include a special large-scale video project and online classes and workshops open to all ages. We also hope to be able to hold in-person high school contemporary groups with safe meeting arrangements and a plan to release commercial recordings. We look forward to going back to “normal” Cantus (we’re hoping for January), but in the meantime, we are excited to potentially offer some creative opportunities for musical growth and learning.
Ada County will announce group meeting size restrictions this coming Tuesday, August 11th, and with that information, the Cantus board of directors will make final determinations. We hope to announce our fall options by August 21 at the latest.
Again, we miss you and can’t wait until we are all singing together in person someday.
